Todd Young (R-IN), who sponsors a pivotal bill to set up a subscription-based reimbursement system for antibiotics, said this week he hopes the measure will pass later this year, ideally through the reauthorization of a must-pass piece of pandemic preparedness legislation up for reauthorization this fall. Young’s renewed push comes as a wide range of stakeholders likewise push for the antibiotic funding bill to find a new home in the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act (PAHPA).
